April 23 2027, University of South Florida | CHS Competition Fees Pending (Estimated 30 USD per person)
USF CyberLaunch is a cybersecurity competition with a high success rate for CHS members. During this Capture-the-Flag event, you will be able to break into simulated systems, obtain credentials, and exploit services while competing against hundreds of high schoolers in Florida.
CyberLaunch is significant for this CHS Chapter. Robinson is one of the leading high schools in cybersecurity (Top 2% Florida) and welcomes students from all skill levels to apply.
As part of CyberLaunch, there is a qualifier event taking place sometime in November. This qualifier will take place at Robinson during the school day.
American Computer Science League (ACSL)
January 4 2027, Online thru Robinson \ CHS Competition Fees Pending (Estimated 40 USD per person)
ACSL is a major national competition that allows students from all ages to respond to challenges following algorithms and traditional computer science logic. This competition is best for individuals interested in software engineering, but everyone is welcome to participate.
November 14-15 2026, Orlando (Potentially) \ Free to Attend, no CHS Competition Fee
Haven is the up-and-coming game jam designed for teens aged 13 through 18. During a 12 or 24 hour hackathon (pending confirmation with local Hack Club leaders) you will get to design, develop, and illustrate a game following a prompt you will be given the day of the competition. No previous experience is required!
This is a special, individually-based competition. CHS will guide you and suggest best practices, but you won't be representing the school. Ask any strategist for more details about Hack Club if you want to learn more.

CHS Robinson prides itself in being rigorous and supporting across all competitions our chapter participates in. No one is expected to be an expert, and we have been successful in teams of complete beginners.
We ask all contestants (our word for members who register in competitions) to remain disciplined, practice, and adhere to all deadlines and goals. Failure to attend a competition you registered for without prior notice may result in immediate termination of your membership.
